Social Prescribing
” The science behind Nature Therapy is one of Mother Natures best kept secrets. But we want that to change.
So come along, walk with us and discover the magic within. “
Moments of Calm UK
Wellbeing in Nature is proven to be beneficial to our physical and Mental Health so we’re excited to provide a Social Prescribing option to our local Healthcare teams. The science is becoming more widely recognised and discussed by Mainstream Media, Government, NHS and many other Healthcare settings. Green Social Prescribing is currently being trialled across the UK by the NHS, but Hampshire, Wiltshire and Dorset are not part of these pilots. Therefore if you live in these counties, and provide social prescribing signposting, we would love to discuss how our Social Prescribing Programme could support your community.
If you are a patient looking for Social Prescribing options that involve the Outdoors, we’d love to hear from you. We know how daunting the journey to health can be and promote sustainable changes, slow paces, and taking things quite literally one step at a time. Whether you are thinking of walks, Nature Therapy, or mindfulness in Nature, we’d be happy to talk through any worries, goals or activities that you are seeking to improve your overall wellbeing.
Please note: we provide facilitated events for you to explore your own well-being, recovery and self development, and will invite you to self reflect on your own experiences, supported by us. We do not provide clinical psychology, however we are Mental Health First Aiders and are able to listen as well as signpost anyone in need.
In a Crisis:
If you are feeling distressed, please reach out to a healthcare professional urgently, via the 111 NHS mental health support line in Hampshire, or a crisis centre at Basingstoke, Winchester or Southampton.
Mental Health Signposting:
For non urgent care, your GP, CMHT, local Mind Well-being Centre or local IAPT may be able to assist or signpost appropriately.
